Mark only points out a few Old Testament scripture fulfillments even though many of the events he covered fulfilled many Old Testament prophecies. Matthew, on the other hand, chose to have this take a major part in his gospel. One noticeable thing about Mark’s gospel is that he carefully explains the Jewish laws and customs. Since he’s presenting Christ as the Messiah for all people, this causes a better understanding of the events that take place.
Since most of the events recorded in Mark’s gospel were also covered in Matthew’s gospel, we’ll mainly be filling in the specific events that are only found in the gospel of Mark.
